In June twenty seven Founder Friends visited the Garrick Club in Covent Garden named after the 18th Century actor David Garrick. Our host was Frances Hughes whose knowledge of the club and its 1000 paintings, now valued at millions of pounds, is amazing. She delighted us with background information, gossip and theatrical tactics depicted in many of the older paintings and some new portraits which included Michael Gambon, Alistair Sim and Richard Attenborough.

In July we visited the V& A to see the amazing Curtain Up exhibition with an introductory talk from curator Anna Landreth Strong.
