When you join us you can become more involved with New Wimbledon Theatre hear monthly talks from theatre directors, actors or costume designers, join in our twice a year theatre quiz nights, enjoy annual parties featuring professional entertainers and of course, take advantage of amazing ticket concessions.

On the last Tuesday of every month we meet at Drake House, 44 St George’s Road, Wimbledon SW19 4ED, at 7.30 pm for a drink with members and an informal talk from someone connected to the theatre.

  • David Wood, famous for adapting children’s stories for the stage like The Tiger Who Came To Tea and many more.
  • Roger Allam, actor
  • Trevor Collins the designer who created costumes for the production of Cats and many more
  • Richard Wooderson, front of house manager
  • Ferris and Milnes the international singing duo
  • Peter Glanville, Artistic Director of the Polka Theatre
  • Matthew Kelly, entertainer (shown below with our chairman)

As a group we benefit from great discounts to see popular productions at New Wimbledon Theatre plus West End and regional theatres.

  • At NWT in the past year we have seen: The Ocean at the End of the Lane, Bodyguard, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Fisherman’s Friends, Calendar Girls, Annie, Cinderella and The Magnificent Music Hall – performed on stage ‘Cabaret style’ presented by Jan Hunt

Recently we have enjoyed West End productions including:

  • Noises Off – The Phoenix Theatre
  • The Wizard of Oz – London Palladium
  • Crazy for You – Gillian Lynne Theatre
  • Shrek the Musical – Eventim Apollo
  • Peter Pan – London Pallidum

We’ve also made group visits to Normansfield Theatre, Teddington to see:

  • The Magnificent Music Hall – presented by our President, Jan Hunt

Every year we enjoy a number of special events including:

  • Quiz Nights – twice a year we enjoy quiz night suppers hosted by the playwright David Wood.
  • A Christmas Party – our annual party in December, held at the Taste Restaurant, is always a special occasion with entertainment provided by Jan Hunt and her Paper Moon Company.
  • A New Year Lunch –we all enjoy a catch up at this January lunch followed by seeing the Magnificent Music Hall at NWT.
